Group Health and Safety Advisor

The Role

In this role you will improve the Group’s Health and Safety performance by ensuring compliance with current standards and legislation.

Key responsibilities include undertaking risk assessments along with auditing sites in relation to Health and Safety performance. You will also create and communicate policies and investigate any accidents, reporting on any remedial suggestions, and assist in the design and implementation of Health and Safety training programmes for staff.

The Person

The successful candidate will have strong communication skills both verbal and written with a logical approach and able to remain calm in difficult situations.

You will hold a NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Health and Safety or equivalent and preferably have experience in working within management standards such as OHSAS 18001. You should be comfortable in undertaking a variety of risk assessments and the preparation of operational procedures. Previous experience in chemical manufacturing environment would be desirable.
