As you will have seen from previous newsletters and our website, we are proud to sponsor Team Helly Hansen Prunesco, winners of the 2010 Wegner Patagonian Expedition Race. March saw the end of the Helly Hansen race series, 5 team adventure races involving off-road running, mountain biking and kayak canoeing (plus a few cheeky extras). Up against fierce competition from other adventure racing teams as well as ‘normal’ competitors, Team Helly Hansen racked up a 1st, two 2nds, a 4th and a 9th place finish. Fancy a go? Heather Wilson – Buff Solo Racer
Nikwax have a new sponsorship interest: Heather Wilson, seasoned cross country and downhill rider. She has raced in the Downhill World Championships and the Mountain Bike Country World Cup as well as racing in the mixed pairs category resulting in quite a few top 3 places and a win in the 24 hour event at Bontrager Twentyfour12 in 2008. Heather now participates in endurance racing (6 to 24 hours) and this is her first year racing solo. Nikwax supply all race kit cleaner and proofer and Buff are her main sponsor for all her race kit with Exposure Lights supplying lighting.
