Nikwax achieves the ISO 14001 certificate for environmental awareness
ISO 14001 – the industry standard for excellence in environmental management – has been awarded to Nikwax following 18 months of hard work and focus. It applies to environmental aspects over which an organisation has control and can influence, and to achieve the accreditation some of the steps Nikwax took are: increased recycling lines; decreased waste to landfill; increased its use of renewable energy to a massive 95% and reduced gas consumption by 21%. After a really concerted effort by all staff, and especially the environmental management team, we really are thrilled to receive the ISO recognition.
