Nikwax Ltd. develops care products and material systems that improve performance and extend the life of clothing, footwear and equipment whilst minimising environmental impact with clean chemistry. We develop and manufacture in-house, from the headquarters in Wadhurst, East Sussex. The Role

Supervise the Manufacturing team to ensure continuity of product by overseeing daily manufacturing, assisting with planning production schedules, achieving balanced workloads and fulfilling deadlines by:

  • Supervising the Manufacturing team to ensure continuity of product, following the manufacturing schedule whilst also ensuring a safe working environment is maintained. Deputising in the absense of the Manager.
  • Assisting with planning production schedules, achieving balanced workloads and fulfilling deadlines.
  • Overseeing and assisting with the daily manufacture of Nikwax products including the setting up and running down of processing equipment
  • Ensuring that daily manufacturing targets have been achieved and reporting on any issues on what has impacted this daily target
  • Making sure that there is clear and visible organisation across the site by maintaining a consistently high standard of cleanliness and tidiness
  • Ensuring health and safety training is completed and that safe working practices are followed, near misses and incidents reported. Work with company health and safety advisors to create a culture of safe working
  • Monitoring and reporting on chemical and bulk stock levels, ensuring stock is sufficient for Production forecasts and assist with collection of waste

The Person will be

  • Self-confident with strong leadership skills
  • A self-starter and able to drive things through to a conclusion
  • Ideally Forklift trained (with a current licence)
  • Strong in an analytical capacity
  • Educated to an A level standard or the equivalent
  • Experienced and ideally trained in management and leadership

The Role

Fill, label and package Nikwax products to meet production schedules, by following the processes set for the production of Nikwax product by:

  • Being responsible for the setting up and running down of equipment of filling runs
  • Ensuring the company is informed of any faults with machinery, unsafe conditions or practices as soon as they occur
  • Keeping the Nikwax Filling & Packing areas and equipment clean, tidy, safe and comply with safe working practices, utilising PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), according to agreed company standard

The Person will be

  • Preferably experienced in working in a production environment, however this is not essential.
  • A friendly and helpful team player
  • Conscientious, with an eye for detail
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Able to use computers to a basic level
  • Focused and used to working in a busy team
  • Be driven to meet daily filling targets.

You will be working between two sites within a 5 mile radius of Wadhurst.


You will be working in a busy, industrious factory environment on the rural East Sussex/Kent border; due to the location you must have your own transport

Manufacture Nikwax products efficiently to the high standards and quality controls as set out by the Manufacturing Manager by:

  • Manufacturing bulk product to meet production schedules and agreed company standards
  • Being responsible for the setting up and running down of equipment and manufacturing runs and be competent with use of all other equipment
  • Ensuring stock rotation of bulk products
  • Keeping the Nikwax Manufacturing area and equipment clean, tidy, safe and comply with safe working practices, utilising PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), according to agreed company standards
  • Ensuring the company is informed of any faults with machinery, unsafe conditions or practices as soon as they occur

The Person will be

  • Ideally experienced in working in a manufacturing environment.
  • Preferably trained in Health and Safety standards
  • Ideally be trained in forklift driving, with a valid license
  • Educated to GCSE level (or equivalent) in Maths and English
  • Able to use computers to a basic level
  • Focused and used to working in a busy team.

This role involves manual tasks including heavy lifting as well as working with chemicals; full training will be given and PPE will be provided. Due to our remote location just outside Wadhurst in East Sussex the successful candidate will require their own transport

The Role

Improve the impact of digital advertising and direct to consumer initiatives in the digital space by effectively managing and optimising tactics derived from the Group's digital marketing strategy by:

  • Directing and leading projects for the progression and updates of the Nikwax and Páramo websites, both in the UK and globally
  • Managing all social media accounts for both brands by creating, implementing and reviewing paid and organic social media activities for Nikwax and Páramo, in collaboration with specified team members
  • Regularly scoping the tactical and strategic opportunities to grow and engage our digital audience across our platforms (including social media, websites and newsletters)
  • Coordinating a regular discussion forum for relevant Directors to re-evaluate current digital tactics and to explore digital marketing opportunities
  • Managing and implementing SEO efforts and digital advertising, such as Google advertising
  • Scheduling, creating, publishing and optimising advertising content for significant digital initiatives in the UK and where relevant, globally (including direct to consumer platforms such as Amazon UK and eBay UK, as well as international selling platforms)
  • Coordinating some of the operational requirements of the direct to consumer platforms, with support from other team members in the business (for example product information, image uploading and liaison in relation to stock availability).

The successful applicant will be based at home but will be required to attend our offices in Wadhurst, East Sussex, at least once a week.

The Person will be

  • Solution focused with outstanding analytical skills and excellent communication skills
  • Creative in their approach to digital advertising and optimisation
  • Experienced in website project management and in using e-commerce platforms
  • Able to convert a strategic vision into measurable and attainable goals
  • Experienced in managing social media, including implementing campaigns
  • Proficient in using analytics software including Google Analytics and experienced in using digital campaign tools such as Google AdWords
  • Educated to degree level or equivalent in a related subject.
