Enhance and support the leadership of an international outdoor business as Secession Project Coordinator.

GearForm Ltd owns and oversees the running of Nikwax Ltd and Páramo Ltd. Both companies have achieved an international reputation through the development, manufacturing and marketing of high performance products, whilst caring for the environment and the community. In particular, Nikwax has achieved 4 Queen’s Awards for Industry, the most recent being for Sustainable Development. Together, the companies employ around 200 people worldwide.

GearForm founder, Nick Brown, has been planning his retirement for some years, by building a strong leadership team and the management structures that support them. The last part of the secession process is a transition to employee ownership, which needs to be completed by September 2021. Your role will be to assist the Group Chief Operations Director (COO) to achieve sustainable change management.

This will be a Fixed-Term Contract position.

The Role

Facilitate the timely and effective delivery of the Transition (Secession) Project and associated outputs by:

  • Owning, delivering and refining project outputs (including research), as directed by the COO.
  • Becoming a go-to source of knowledge and expertise on the Transition Project and the process of Employee Ownership Trust formation.
  • Maintaining the Transition Schedule of work and helping those who contribute to deliver on time.
  • Offering support to other Directors with projects and operational tasks as approved by the COO.

The Person will be

  • Be educated to degree level in management or social studies, or equivalent.
  • Be experienced in undertaking and successfully delivering project-based work.
  • Will be highly organised with strong communication skills and the character necessary to drive the project forward.
  • Have interest in and enthusiasm for innovative management systems.
